“Wo xihuan…”

“wo xi huan ni de yan, kan zhe wo de yan
I like your eyes, looking into my eyes

wo xi huan ni de lian, tie zhe wo de lian
I like your face, close to my face

wo xi huan ni de shou, qian zhe wo de shou
I like your hand, holding my hand

wo xi huan ni de kou, wen zhe wo de kou
I like your lips, kissing my lips

shi jian zai gai bian, ni bu yao gai bian
Time changes, but don’t you change

yin wei wo hen ai ni, bu xiang yao ni fang qi ai qing
Because I really love you; I don’t want you to give up on love

you qing zhe duan de lai bu yi
Especially this kind that’s so hard to come by

wo ai ni, zhen de shi hen ai ni, suo yi xiang
I love you, I really love you so much; So I want to

jiu zhe yang ji xu ai xia qu
Continue to love just like this

shi jian zai gai bian, ni bu yao gai bian
Time changes, but don’t you change

yin wei wo hen ai ni, bu xiang yao ni fang qi ai qing
Because I really love you; I don’t want you to give up on love

you qing zhe duan de lai bu yi
Especially this kind that’s so hard to come by

wo ai ni, zhen de shi hen ai ni, suo yi xiang
I love you, I really love you so much; So I want to

jiu zhe yang ji xu ai xia qu
Continue to love just like this

I came across this song by Yen-ji while watching a drama.  It’s true that romantic drama and films portray a happy ending to attract audience and viewers. However,  I can’t help wondering when listening to that song, or to any other love songs- what about afterwards?

What about afterwards-when routine, kids and work settle in?   Then it will be  ‘ki joli mo ti trouver ar li do?’ I am not generalising. In some cases,  that really works while in others  (even though love was  real), the pill went sour. I too like to watch romantic films, and it sometimes helps to depart from this secular world for a moment… Two souls holding hands and kissing and hmmmm…   So for a moment this post is telling  me to step back to earth :p

So despite that fact that fiction and real life are two opposing worlds, do you like to watch romantic films or drama?
