“wo xi huan ni de yan, kan zhe wo de yan
I like your eyes, looking into my eyes

wo xi huan ni de lian, tie zhe wo de lian
I like your face, close to my face

wo xi huan ni de shou, qian zhe wo de shou
I like your hand, holding my hand

wo xi huan ni de kou, wen zhe wo de kou
I like your lips, kissing my lips

shi jian zai gai bian, ni bu yao gai bian
Time changes, but don’t you change

yin wei wo hen ai ni, bu xiang yao ni fang qi ai qing
Because I really love you; I don’t want you to give up on love

you qing zhe duan de lai bu yi
Especially this kind that’s so hard to come by

wo ai ni, zhen de shi hen ai ni, suo yi xiang
I love you, I really love you so much; So I want to

jiu zhe yang ji xu ai xia qu
Continue to love just like this

shi jian zai gai bian, ni bu yao gai bian
Time changes, but don’t you change

yin wei wo hen ai ni, bu xiang yao ni fang qi ai qing
Because I really love you; I don’t want you to give up on love

you qing zhe duan de lai bu yi
Especially this kind that’s so hard to come by

wo ai ni, zhen de shi hen ai ni, suo yi xiang
I love you, I really love you so much; So I want to

Continue to love just like this

I came across this song by Yen-ji while watching a drama.  It’s true that romantic drama and films portray a happy ending to attract audience and viewers. However,  I can’t help wondering when listening to that song, or to any other love songs- what about afterwards?

What about afterwards-when routine, kids and work settle in?   Then it will be  ‘ki joli mo ti trouver ar li do?’ I am not generalising. In some cases,  that really works while in others  (even though love was  real), the pill went sour. I too like to watch romantic films, and it sometimes helps to depart from this secular world for a moment… Two souls holding hands and kissing and hmmmm…   So for a moment this post is telling  me to step back to earth :p

So despite that fact that fiction and real life are two opposing worlds, do you like to watch romantic films or drama?

Day earth stood still!

Saturday, March 28th, 2009

Today I watched the film the day earth stood still featuring Keanu Reeves, Jennifer Connelly, Jaden Smith, John Cleese. It is a remake story of the 1951 classic sci fic. The film is about the day Klaatu an extra terrestrial being (played by Keanu) landed on earth. His mission: save the earth. Actor James Hong, who landed on earth 70 years ago acted as his contact and briefed him on human activities and their destructive nature. From there on Keanu pressed the red button and human race and traces of their activities started to get wiped off.erase.jpg

Locust or nano robots..

The only hope for the human race is Jennifer Connelly(played an astro physician specialised in microbiology) who will try to convince Keanu that human has another facet worth saving. Kind of like the film with nice special effects. Good start for me. First film of the year and high score.. Vivement que sa continue :p

Rise of the silver surfer!

Saturday, June 16th, 2007

1163664.jpg4: rise of the silver surfer is finally out in the USA. The rise of the silver surfer is a sequel to the 2005 film Fantastc Four.

The film begins two years after the first, with Doctor Doom having spent two years trapped in a casket until being awakened by the Silver Surfer, promptly taking over Latveria once free. Doom desires to take the Surfer’s powers, having been reverted to his organic form after provoking and being attacked by the Silver Surfer.

As Reed Richards and Sue Storm prepare for their fourth wedding attempt, a mysterious, silver phenomenon streaks into Earth’s atmosphere from outer space, radiating cosmic energy that creates massive molecular fluctuations in specific locations across the Earth. The government approaches Reed to build a sensor to track the movements of the phenomenon, and he secretly complies, hiding the fact that he has taken the contract from Sue to stop her from worrying.

The wedding begins, but in the midst of the ceremony, Reed’s sensor detects the phenomenon approaching New York, causing a massive power blackout across the city. The silver streak destroys the sensor while the Fantastic Four protect the crowd from a helicopter that has fallen from the sky, and the Human Torch then pursues it across the city. Catching up to it, he discovers that it is a silver humanoid riding a “surfboard” of liquid metal, and is then promptly seized by this “Silver Surfer” and dragged into the upper atmosphere. As his flame snuffs out, the Surfer drops him into free fall, but he manages to reactivate his powers enough to survive the fall. An examination by Reed discovers that Johnny’s exposure to the Surfer has caused his DNA to become destabilized, allowing him to switch powers with his teammates through physical contact. Tracing the energy of the Surfer – a cosmic engery similar to that which gave the team their powers – Reed discovers that the series of planets that the alien has visited have all been utterly destroyed.

The film received mixed critics but as a fan of marvel comics, i surely would not miss it pour aucune raison au monde when it come to our shores.

Superman returns!

Yesterday, I watched the avant premiere of Superman returns at Star3. Got the ticket from a cousin who won a concours organised by L’express. The projection took place 30 minutes late. (Nothing suprising as Mtians are never punctual) It’s a culture inherent to us.

Well apart from the lateness, we were offered free pop corns and soft drinks and some opening words. The film lasted 2 1/2 hours. So… well, the special effects are cool. As to whether i liked the film, i must say that i watched it just like an entertainment movie. Guess that with all the comic movies being produced, just kodaa fed up a little bit. But overall, worth a little time going to cinema to entertain oneself.
