Never forget a girl freind’s birthday!

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

While i was online, a girl friend chatted with me and said that she don’t love me and won’t marry me. Since we joked a lot abt that issue, i responded that she will stay “vieille fille” if she stays alone. Later on, she said that i did not wish her “happy birthday”… Lol, that was the reason she was so fussed abt.

I started to ponder the days guys really forget their girl friends’ birthday and the consequences of such blankness.. That must be freaking!!!

Does “gifts” pay?

Friday, August 25th, 2006

A driver at my place of work got fired because he accepted money from a satisfied customer. The story was as follows: the customer contacted the driver for a supply of an item. The driver indicated a supplier and both went to the supplier on a saturday. The customer was apparently satisfied with the price he got for the item and in return gave the driver rs 200 for his “depeine”. The driver at first refused but on the insistance of the customer, he finally accepted the money.

That’s the point of view of the driver when he goes through disciplinary committee. The customer was familiar with a supervisor working at the committee and when he related his ‘story’, the supervisor informed the boss.

On the next day, the driver was sacked. He was asked to write his letter of resignation.

The issue is as follows:
Does a small blue collar accepting money called corruption ,when white collars accepting money for service rendu called commission?? As the saying goes, when l’exemple vient d’en haut, this is OK, but when you do the same thing, this is called a crime…

The world keeps on spinning…

Boss’ wife brought male child yesterday to office. She told kid to start greeting everyone. When he was in admin office, where there were only women, he said: “salut les filles!”. Later on, one of the girls humoured:

I could not help laughing…

Superman returns!

Yesterday, I watched the avant premiere of Superman returns at Star3. Got the ticket from a cousin who won a concours organised by L’express. The projection took place 30 minutes late. (Nothing suprising as Mtians are never punctual) It’s a culture inherent to us.

Well apart from the lateness, we were offered free pop corns and soft drinks and some opening words. The film lasted 2 1/2 hours. So… well, the special effects are cool. As to whether i liked the film, i must say that i watched it just like an entertainment movie. Guess that with all the comic movies being produced, just kodaa fed up a little bit. But overall, worth a little time going to cinema to entertain oneself.

Wednesday, August 16th, 2006

The pc at my place of work crashed. For time being found 40 bad sectors. Think it’s time to tell the boss to get a new hard disk for me.. Lol

Organisers wanted to import pyrotechnics works for a grandiose concert suited to the star’s reputation. Those who have already bought the tickets would be refunded and fans will have to wait to see their idol “en chair et en os”

Breaking news!

Thursday, August 10th, 2006

Peuhh!! Not again!! Just heard that a plot to blow up planes in flight from the UK to the US and commit “mass murder on an unimaginable scale” has been disrupted. What’s in the mind of those people??
According to BBC: “It is thought the plan was to detonate explosive devices smuggled in hand luggage on to as many as 10 aircraft”. Three US airlines are believed to have been targeted.

Where are we going??
